CWC is dedicated to promoting fun, safety, and self-improvement across the Power Lifts (squat/bench/deadlift) and Olympic lifts (snatch and clean & jerk). All skill levels are welcome, from beginner to advanced, and both men AND women are encouraged to plug into this welcoming strength training community!

Club access is exclusive to gym members. Members will have direct access to club coaches Mary Morton (National Level USAPL Powerlifter), Kristin Lander (National and International level Masters Olympic Weightlifter (USAW) and holder of 3 SC state records in the snatch, clean & jerk, and total) and Jarrad Holcombe (Crossfit level 1 certified). CWC hosts quarterly tests of strength, which are meant to be friendly competition events where we all push each other and have fun! We offer technique clinics to those of all levels that want to learn or improve their squat, bench, deadlift, snatch, clean, and jerk. Clinics will be put on at least 4x a year, typically in-between the quarterly events. A $10 reservation fee is required for the clinics; all proceeds go towards improving Core24 for future clinics and weightlifting events.

DR. KRISTIN LANDER

 Kristin is a chiropractor, sports nutrition coach, and co-host of Empowered By Iron Podcast. She lifted weights in high school, but didn’t become serious until starting CrossFit 5 years ago. A little over a year ago she decided to focus solely on Olympic weightlifting (the snatch and clean & jerk).  She holds 12 state records in South Carolina in weightlifting.  Last year she placed 6th at Masters Nationals Championships and 5th at Masters Pan American Championships.

Jarrad has a passion for Olympic Weightlifting. It is his goal is to inspire others to be more confident with a barbell, and to have others express their fitness through Weightlifting. He also has his CrossFit Lv1 certificate.

EVER SINCE I COULD REMEMBER, I LOVED BEING ACTIVE. MOSTLY RECENTLY, I HAVE DISCOVERED MY PASSION FOR POWERLIFTING AND WEIGHTLIFTING. COACHING AND COMPETING HAVE BECOME MY MAIN PRIORITY. I HAVE MADE IT MY MISSION TO HELP OTHERS BECOME THE STRONGEST, BEST VERSIONS OF THEMSELVES.
